There are two open seats on the Public Service Commission: District 2 and District 3. Even though they are districts, all PSC seats are elected statewide.
For District 2 there is only one Democratic candidate: Alicia Johnson. She is the official nominee of the Georgia Democratic Party.
For District 3 there are four Democratic candidates: Robert Jones, Daniel Blackman, Peter Hubbard, and Keisha Sean Waites. Below you will find video interviews of each of these four candidates. None of these candidates have been endorsed by the State Democratic Party which only means the party decided to allow the voters to decide on a candidate.
The DPG has been working hard to uplift the upcoming Public Service Commission (PSC) primary and we're proud to share our DPG PSC Special Primary Social Media Toolkit (attached below).
In it you will find messaging about what the PSC does and the importance of electing Democratic representation in service of all Georgians.
While the graphics are great for sharing, the attached toolkit provides steps you and your committees should take to highlight
1) ensuring voters are registered
2) messaging throughout the election process
3) volunteer opportunities
4) graphics to be shared on your social media platforms.
Below are two infographics that we hope you will share immediately and often. The attached toolkit includes much more. Please make sure you and yours have, first, checked to ensure your voter registration is updated by May 19th and then continue to exercise your power to educate, vote, and win these PSC elections.
